We’ve now left our home of mother Cancer. Welcome to the lion’s den.
Symbolized by the mighty lion, Leo season brings us the bravery to pursue our desires and what makes us happy. The lion’s energy also makes it easier for us to embrace and be proud of who we are, unapologetically.
Much like the lion itself, Leo is a natural-born leader. Did you know that the word “pride” is also descriptive of a family of lions? It only makes sense that Leo is associated with pride, because the king lion is no leader without his pride of lions.
Because the lion is a concise hunter, he does not waste time dawdling and can take his target in a single pounce, with finesse and no room for error. However, because he knows the accuracy of his abilities, he may sometimes spend too much of his free time being self-indulgent, rather than acting like a productive leader who constantly works toward improving the quality of life for those he cares about. One important thing to remember during this time is to be wary of going overboard with the leisurely energy that Leo brings. A king full of complacency can easily be overtaken when he is off-guard. Self-discipline is key to balancing the indulgent desires of Leo season.
When the king is validated and confident in his abilities to rule, Leo has an abundance of love to give to not only himself, but to those around him as well. In what ways can you make those around you feel taken care of and appreciated? And going deeper, how can you spoil yourself? Leo is unapologetic when it comes to self-love, and many of us who shy away from pampering and treating ourselves could learn a lot from the lion of the zodiac.
Over the next few weeks, don’t be afraid to indulge, relax, and be proud of who you are and all that you’ve worked hard for. It’s time to celebrate like a king.
