As we’ve shared in previous posts, Leo is the social fire sign of the zodiac, which means its energy is focused on controlling how they are perceived by others. Although this may appear as vanity, Leo really can’t take *all* the credit for being vain, because other signs are guilty of this too – just in different ways. When any sign is out of alignment, their insecurities may drive them to obsess about social approval; however, there are a few noteworthy signs that follow closely after Leo in being obsessed with their appearance.
As the social air sign, Libra tends to go above & beyond to secure their position as the crowd favorite. Libra loves a harmonious group of people & feels uncomfortable when social discourse arises – so when Libra focuses too much on people-pleasing, they can appear disingenuous or even fake. But Libra only means well (as all signs do). Libras are meant to bring people of different backgrounds together to have a good time, but they need to check themselves and discern whether their actions are stemming from the genuine intention to bring people together or because they fear rejection.
On the more physical side of things, Libra is also ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty, so people with Libra placements are likely to devote a lot of their energy in looking good, especially during social events.
Capricorn can also be image-obsessed. Capricorn’s purpose is to climb to greater heights, so they likely move towards work promotions, higher education, or setting goals that grant them executive status or authority. And because they’re success-oriented, they might spend their hard-earned money on the best of the best. It’s not uncommon for Capricorns to spoil themselves with designer goods or precious items that flaunt their hard work & status. And if they aren’t outwardly superficial, you may still see this trait manifest in other aspects, like buying the best tools for their trade, or having a shiny new car.
What other signs do you feel tend to obsess with image, and how has that manifested within the people in your life? How about in yourself?
