Did you catch the solar eclipse yesterday?
Solar eclipses amplify the energy of the new moon, giving you 3x the intensity. Along with the start of Cancer season & a new moon in Cancer, this triple-dose of cosmic energy is encouraging us to redefine what it means to be family to others & what we consider to be home. How can we change the way we satisfy our community’s emotional needs the way we would with immediate family, & how can we allow ourselves to be vulnerable & seek emotional refuge in others?
New moon in Cancer brings our emotional needs to the surface. Like the crab itself, Cancer has a tough, spiky exterior, but only to protect its soft & vulnerable insides. Cancer either highlights our unconditional trust or the complete inability to trust others with our emotions – this season is showing us which side we lie on. Do we choose to hurt others around us with our spiky exterior, or can we trust them with our softer inner self to the point of potential self-harm? Find the balance between both extremes.
While new moons represent new beginnings, a solar eclipse intensifies this powerful astrological event, which means that the intentions you set during this time will yield long-term results either serving or hindering your growth. If you’re not satisfied with your current definition of family, now is the time to redefine what it means to you so you can show up for your loved ones in a more constructive & loving way. When you heal, the people around you do as well; likewise, if you choose not to, others will remain unhealed as well. What is your choice? Cancer says it’s your move.
