The sun moves into Gemini at 9:49AM EST tomorrow, but let’s play homage to the great Taurus before we move from the earth and into the air.
The impact of Taurus doesn’t hit as hard as it’s predecessor Aries, but that’s because Taurus has a gentle touch. Ruled by Venus, Taurus is a gentle beast that graces everything with its firm and stable touch. This season has brought us some much-needed calmness to the storm of the pandemic and has allowed us to sharpen our focus.
Taurus’s energy has given us a chance to slow down, observe our surroundings, take a step back to brainstorm and come up with long-term solutions to huge problems we have chosen to turn a blind eye to for so long. We needed this. We needed to take a moment to recollect ourselves from all of the collective panic and grief we’ve been experiencing.
Where Pisces season felt like the world was going mad and Aries season felt like pure disorder and mayhem, Taurus offered us that emotional stability that we needed to stand tall and grab life by the horns.
Taurus’s slow and steady pace also taught us how to be more reliable and supportive towards our loved ones during these times. It may have felt more effortless to be a grounding force for others who are struggling to cope around us.
This season has also been a time for us to not only slow down, but to also learn how to relax and indulge in all of life’s pleasures, despite the world plunging into panic. Where we previously had too much guilt to indulge in a long video game, read a book from cover to cover, or binge-watch a series on Netflix, it’s felt easier to grant ourselves permission to enjoy ourselves.
If you found yourself hibernating during Taurus season and are perhaps feeling a little guilty for it, Gemini season will definitely pick up the pace with excitement where the mood has been serious and somber. Prepare to be shaken with Gemini’s wit, humor and liveliness. But for now, we pay our respects to our strong, gentle and reliable Bull of the zodiac that has taught us the art of perseverance and pleasure.
