Although Cancer season just ended, it’s only fitting to bid farewell to Cancer before we celebrate the sun moving into Leo.
Cancer season may have been a rough journey in itself, completely separate from the rocky experiences we’ve collectively had over the past few months. While it seems that things have “calmed down,” Cancer season ushered many of us inward to reflect on the work and healing we needed to do, making our social environment feel quiet.
Coupled with Mercury retrograde’s onslaught of miscommunications, the way we communicated our love were highlighted: in what ways were we unable to articulate our needs with others, and in what ways were we failing to express our support for our loved ones?
After Mercury stationed direct, we were then faced with Chiron retrograde in Aries, which began our journey of exposing deeper wounds that were swept under the rug. For the next 6 months, we’ll be challenged with the task of healing from traumas and discovering our superpowers through the healing process.
Cancer season was the gateway to discovering our inner self and having an extended dialogue with our heart. When was the last time you listened to your heart and gave it a voice? When was the last time you honored your emotions and held space for them during time where they felt repressed, unseen and unheard?
As the sun moves out of Cancer and into Leo, we will be taking the learning lessons of understanding how to express our love and integrating it into Leo’s energy, where we can apply all we’ve learned about love toward ourselves. Where Cancer brought us back to the basics and welcomed us to sit with our emotions, Leo will show us that it’s okay to feel valid in our emotions and not need to make excuses for the way we feel. Leo will teach us how to love ourselves, both bravely and unapologetically.
